Financial Assistance

The working poor, underemployed and unemployed may need temporary financial assistance for rent (we do require an eviction notices), utility disconnections and other emergency needs to maintain their fragile standard of living. Crises and unplanned financial emergencies can jeopardize a family’s ability to provide basic needs such as food, utilities and shelter. Financial assistance is provided in the form of a non-interest loan which is expected to be repaid when possible, encouraging client accountability and allowing Broken Arrow Neighbors more opportunities to “pay it forward.” In most cases, a promissory note will be offered first, and the client will need to seek additional assistance from other agencies in order to fulfill the entire payment needed.
