Star Jewelers has partnered with the non-profit Broken Arrow Neighbors (BAN) to host a gift/toy drive Nov. 20 through Dec. 17.

Each year, BAN holds the Gift Gallery at which families who have fallen on hard times and financial difficulty, may shop for Christmas presents for their children. This year, the Gift Gallery will be hosted at the Church of Saint Benedict in Broken Arrow on Dec. 18.

To make the Gift Gallery possible, Star Jewelers and others will be collecting unwrapped toys, stocking stuffers, and wrapping essentials for infants to 12-year-olds.

“We like to encourage presents that encourage family involvement. Things like games, puzzles, and crafts,” says Kim Goddard, executive director of BAN.

“Main Street is our home, and Broken Arrow is our community,” says store owner Dayna Matheny. “We wouldn’t have it any other way.  The city has been so good to us throughout the years. We want to recognize the outstanding community and give back to our neighbors this holiday season.”

Broken Arrow Neighbors served 2,587 individuals — 734 families— with holiday meals and gifts last year, and they hope to serve more this year.
