Food Donations for BA, next Tuesday

November 23, 2013 –

There’s a little white house in Broken Arrow with volunteers inside who provide food assistance to about 4,000 families and an additional 600 during the holiday season.

Just about 3 miles up the road, there’s a restaurant that wants to help boost donations for that little white house, where the Broken Arrow Neighbors Food Bank gives food to anyone who is in need.

Chick Fil-A is hosting a donation drive Tuesday when customers can bring canned food items for use by the food bank.

When the restaurant, on 71st Street and Garnett Road, turns on its Christmas lights, they are asking customers to give canned goods in return for a sandwich.

FOX23 spoke with an unidentified general manager of the Chick Fil-A. “If anyone comes in and brings two canned food items, then we are going to donate that to Broken Arrow Neighbors.”

Any canned food is welcome, but with the holidays around the corner, something that could be used for a Thanksgiving meal could be useful.
